Inspection Complete: Kurt Busch Named Final Winner on Current Atlanta Motor Speedway Surface

Technical inspection following Sunday Afternoon’s Quaker State 400 Presented by Walmart at Atlanta Motor Speedway has concluded.

Kurt Busch’s race-winning No. 1 GEARWRENCH Chevrolet Camaro for Chip Ganassi Racing has passed inspection, making him the official winner of the final NASCAR Cup Series event on the current configuration and surface of Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Alex Bowman, Christopher Bell, Matt DiBenedetto and Bubba Wallace each had one lug nut missing | loose, which will result in a monetary fine to crew chief’s Greg Ives, Adam Stevens, Jonathan Hassler and Mike Wheeler on Tuesday.

Martin Truex Jr (No. 19), Alex Bowman (No. 48), Tyler Reddick (No. 8) and Ryan Blaney (No. 12) will each have their cars brought back to the NASCAR R&D Center for further evaluation (no penalties).
