Following Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, Live Fast Motorsports has become the latest NASCAR Cup Series team to be penalized for losing a wheel on the track.

McLeod, co-owner and primary driver for Live Fast Motorsports, lost a right-rear tire on his No. 78 Motorsport Games Ford Mustang on Lap 87 of Sunday’s 188-lap event, which caused his entry to spin and impact the turn two wall.

Consistent with previous penalties of this nature, Lee Leslie (Crew Chief), Alpha Lamin (Jackman), and Kevin Teaf (Rear Tire Changer), have all been suspended for the next four points-paying events (through the NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway).

Teaf is part of Stewart-Haas Racing’s backup pit crew in the NASCAR Cup Series, which also typically handles pit stops for RSS Racing’s No. 39 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and David Gilliland Racing’s No. 1 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

In addition to pitting Live Fast Motorsports’ entry in the NASCAR Cup Series, Lamin also serves as jackman for SS Green Light Racing’s No. 07 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and David Gilliland Racing’s No. 17 in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

At the time of publishing, Live Fast Motorsports has yet to name an interim crew chief.
