On Friday, World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway announced that for the second-consecutive year, the 1.250-mile race track has completely sold out the grandstand seating for its NASCAR Cup Series event.
World Wide Technology Raceway has a grandstand seating capacity of 57,000.
While Sunday’s Enjoy Illinois 300 is sold out, tickets still remain for Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Toyota 200. Saturday’s tickets also provide fans access to NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying as well as the on-site Confluence Music Festival.
The track now hopes to keep building the energy that it has seen from the fans over the first two years of the facility hosting a NASCAR Cup Series event, so it can remain a fixture in the series for a long time.

Sunday’s race at World Wide Technology Raceway will also mark the third-consecutive NASCAR Cup Series event that has been sold out.
Last weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway reached a grandstands sell-out for the second-consecutive year. The NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway also reached a sell-out soon after ticket packages went on sale.
In the weeks leading up to the All-Star Race, the track added additional temporary grandstands to meet demand, while those didn’t fully sell out in time for the race, the original grandstand seating that was available when tickets originally went on sale did sell out.
