GearWrench, which has served as a primary sponsor for Kurt Busch over the last several seasons, will move to Kevin Harvick and the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing team for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.

The premier hand tool brand will be the primary on the car for five races next season. Additionally, GearWrench will be the official tool partner of SHR and will have naming rights to the main assembly area of the Stewart-Haas Racing shop.

“This partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing provides GEARWRENCH with a 360-degree activation plan that allows us to authentically highlight our tools and all that they’re capable of,” said Janet Bolin, Brand Manager, Sports Partnerships, GearWrench in the release. “Kevin Harvick has proven to be a top performer in the NASCAR Cup Series for more than two decades and SHR is a team built by racers, for racers. It’s a hands-on organization, and that’s why it’s a great fit for the premier hand tool brand.”

Stewart-Haas Racing dropped the news in a Wednesday evening press release.

For Harvick, the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion, the partnership with GearWrench will help bolster his team’s performance in the shop.

“I’m the guy driving the racecar, but NASCAR is definitely a team sport,” Harvick said. “Preparation is one of the most important elements of success. If you’re not prepared when you come to the track, you’ve already lost. Having the right tools for the job is a must, and having a partner in GEARWRENCH makes us a better race team.”

The release from SHR did not reveal which five races the tool partner will be the primary for Harvick in. That announcement is expected at a later date.
