Do you want an authentic piece of recent NASCAR history?

Front Row Motorsports is auctioning off their ‘gifted’ piece of Bubba Wallace’s No. 43 Richard Petty Motorports Chevrolet Camaro from Wednesday’s NASCAR All-Star Open event at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The front bumper, which is shattered all to hell after the crash that Wallace sustained, has been placed on eBay by Front Row Motorsports and has already surpassed $700 in bids with more than nine days remaining on the auction. The proceeds from the auction will benefit Motor Racing Outreach.

In a Front Row Motorsports team release on Friday, McDowell made his first comments about the incident from Wednesday’s All-Star Open event.

“Everyone has an opinion of what happened,” said McDowell. “I have my side of things, Bubba has his and all of the fans have theirs, too. It’s one of the reasons NASCAR wanted to go to Bristol for the All-Star race. We created the excitement and now fans can make a difference and own a piece of history.”

Things got a bit heated between Michael McDowell and Wallace in Wednesday’s NASCAR All-Star Open race at Bristol Motor Speedway. At lap 18 of the opening Stage of the event, Wallace nudged McDowell and appeared to have the third position locked up. Then, McDowell swerved left and hooked Wallace into the wall.

The No. 43 car went front and then driver’s side door into the wall, and his night was over.

After a visit in the infield care center, Wallace cut into the character makeup of McDowell after what he felt was an avoidable incident.

Following the interview, Wallace dropped off the front bumper of his No. 43 car at the hauler of the Front Row Motorsports No. 34 team.
