Esperion Therapeutics will continue its relationship with NASCAR Cup Series organization RFK Racing into a second season, the team announced officially on Thursday.

The company will once again look to drive awareness to its two brands – NEXLIZET (bempedoic acid and ezetimibe) and NEXLETOL (bempedoic acid) – through a series of promotional campaigns and primary sponsorships.

RFK Racing and Esperion will collaborate to wave the red flag for uncontrolled cholesterol by promoting a myriad of campaigns, including National Wear Red Day, American Heart Month, Stress Awareness Month, Women’s Health Awareness Month, Men’s Health Awareness Month, a Wellness Walk, Cholesterol Education Month, World Heart Day, National Health Education Week, and Family Health History Day.

In a similar fashion to last season’s partnership, the pharmaceutical company has acquired a four-race primary sponsorship of RFK Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series, which will be split between the team’s two full-time entries.

Chris Buescher, a five-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series, will carry sponsorship from Esperion at Richmond Raceway (March 31) and Talladega Superspeedway (October 6).

Buescher, driver of the No. 17 Ford Mustang, will also attend the annual American College of Cardiology (ACC) session on behalf of Esperion, in April in Atlanta.

Brad Keselowski, co-owner of RFK Racing, will carry one of the company’s two brands on board his No. 6 Ford Mustang in events at North Wilkesboro Speedway (May 19) and Pocono Raceway (July 14).

RFK Racing is also set to support and promote the brand’s NASCAR Digital Media buy, which will include various graphics on NASCAR.com, as well as an in-car camera for the No. 6 Ford Mustang at Talladega Superspeedway in October.

“Our partnership thus far with RFK has proven to be very successful in many facets, and we’re excited to again embark on a new journey with the team in 2024,” said Sheldon Koenig, CEO of Esperion. “As you can see, we have a robust marketing campaign lined up that highlights our various combined efforts on promoting everything from cholesterol awareness to various additional health awareness months. Our race schedule is exciting with tracks where RFK, Brad, and Chris have excelled in the past, and we look forward to seeing the NEXLIZET and NEXLETOL Fords in victory lane very soon.”
