There are 40 drivers on the preliminary entry list for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Watkins Glen International.

Alongside the 36 teams that began the season with NASCAR Cup Series charters, four open entries will compete in Sunday’s event, the second-to-last road course event of 2025. Those include JJ Yeley (No. 44 NY Racing), Josh Bilicki (No. 66 Garage 66), Katherine Legge (No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports), and Connor Zilisch (No. 87 Trackhouse Racing).

William Byron, the most recent winner in the NASCAR Cup Series, returns to the series in an attempt to go back-to-back, driving the No. 24 Raptor Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports. Byron went to Victory Lane at Watkins Glen at NASCAR’s top level back in 2023.
