Brian Pattie’s tenure at Roush Fenway Racing is coming to an end. Pattie, who has turned wrenches on RFR’s Fords since the 2016 season will not return to the organization for the 2020 campaign. Pattie has been the crew chief for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and the No. 17 car since the start of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season.

The news of Pattie’s departure was first reported by Claire B. Lang of Sirius XM NASCAR Radio and has since been confirmed by the team.

Just a few weeks ago, the team announced that they would be parting ways with Stenhouse as well to make way for Chris Buescher next season.

Stenhouse has since landed at JTG Daugherty Racing.

Pattie and Stenhouse won two races together, but had missed the Playoffs in each of the past two seasons. Overall, Pattie has six-career Cup Series wins in 416 starts as a crew chief.

Pattie’s best season on the pit box came in the 2012 campaign as the crew chief for Clint Bowyer. The duo won three races and finished runner-up in the championship standings.
