Front Row Motorsports continues to pile on sponsorship partners for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season. On Friday, the organization announced that Chicago Pneumatic will be returning as a primary sponsorship partner for both the No. 34 Ford Mustang (driven by Michael McDowell) and the No. 38 Ford Mustang (driven by Todd Gilliland).

This will mark the fourth season of the partnership between Front Row Motorsports and Chicago Pneumatic.

“We can’t wait for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season with Front Row Motorsports,” said Maggie Rogers, Communications and Branding Marketing Manager, Chicago Pneumatic Compressors. “Our partnership continues to grow just as the team is seeing it’s most success on the track. We’re proud that FRM is winning a championship with CP Compressors in their race shop, and we want to continue to help build their program while letting NASCAR fans learn more about us.”

According to the press release from the team, Chicago Pneumatic will be a primary sponsor of McDowell’s car at the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway as well as the Chicago Street Course event on July 4th weekend. Additionally, the brand will serve as a major associate sponsor for McDowell and the No. 34 team for the entirety of the season.

The commitment from Chicago Pneumatic give McDowell plenty of reason to be thankful.

“We are really thankful for Chicago Pneumatic,” said McDowell. “They have come on board to our organization and have really helped us move forward. They are giving us that winning edge at the race shop with their products and more fans are recognizing what a great company they are. I’m proud to have them support our team at some of our biggest races this season.”

Gilliland will carry the red and black Chicago Pneumatic colors at Michigan International Speedway in August.

Last season, Chicago Pneumatic was the primary sponsor for McDowell at the Summer Richmond Raceway event and the company was on Gilliland’s No. 38 car at Sonoma Raceway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

McDowell is coming off of the best season of his 15-year NASCAR Cup Series career. The 38-year-old tied-or-set career-highs in top-fives (two), top-10s (12), laps led (67), average start (17.0) and average finish (16.7).

McDowell will have a new crew chief in 2023 as Blake Harris departed to be the new crew chief for Alex Bowman at Hendrick Motorsports. Travis Peterson will move atop the pit box for McDowell this season.

Gilliland, 22, had a very respectable rookie season with Front Row Motorsports last year. The North Carolina native scored one top-five finish and two top-10 finishes and the No. 38 car was running at the conclusion of 31 of the 36 races. Gilliland will look to improve with more experience under his belt in 2023.
