It’s hard to reign in NASCAR drivers when it comes to speed. After driving nearly at 200 miles-per-hour all race in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, Chase Briscoe — who finished 11th — was nabbed for speeding on his way home from the track.

Briscoe shared video to twitter of the scene as he was pulled over with a caption that read, “At least I wasn’t going 200 mph like earlier….”

Briscoe’s wife Marissa, wasn’t feeling sorry for her race car driving spouse at all, as she Tweeted that she had expressed to him eight times to slow his speed down. She then told her husband, “I hope you get pulled over,” and guess what? It happened.

Marissa took the W in the age-old game of criticizing your spouse’s driving.

Luckily, the Briscoe’s could joke about the situation and fortunately nobody was harmed due to excessive speed on the street. This should serve as a reminder that when not on the race track, you should always try to stay within the imposed speed limits.

As far as the race track goes, though, Briscoe has really started to come to life in the second half of his rookie NASCAR Cup Series season.

The driver of the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Mustang has scored two of his three top-10 finishes this season, after the half-way point of the season. In fact, Briscoe has scored four top-15 finishes over the last six events, and he even had a shot to win at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course two weeks ago, before a late-race penalty relegated him to a 26th-place finish.
