Chad Finchum will look to make his second career NASCAR Cup Series start – and his first start of 2020 — when the series rolls to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the fourth race of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, and the first race to feature the reduced 12-driver playoff field.

The Knoxville, Tennessee-native will celebrate his 26th birthday on Tuesday, September 22nd, before getting behind the wheel of his No. 49 RoofClaim.com / LasVegas.net Toyota Camry for MBM Motorsports on Sunday Afternoon, where he will look to make his first start at NASCAR’s top-level on a track larger than a mile.

Finchum’s No. 49 will carry a special throwback paint scheme in the event, honoring NASCAR on FOX analyst Phil Parsons, who ran an identical paint scheme in 1984, when he drove the No. 66 Chevrolet for Johnny Hayes, the car that was dubbed as “The Skoal Bandit”.

MBM Motorsports teammate Timmy Hill, also paid tribute to Parsons at Darlington Raceway, as well as in the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series event at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

The South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will mark the eight start at the 1.5-mile track in a NASCAR National Series for Finchum, but will be his first start in a NASCAR Cup Series vehicle at the track. In six prior NASCAR Xfinity Series starts, Finchum has scored a best finish of 21st-place on two separate occasions, while driving for MBM Motorsports.

Finchum will also run the NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco 300 at Las Vegas on Saturday Afternoon, currently listed as the driver of the No. 66 Toyota for MBM Motorsports (according to NASCAR’s team roster portal).
