Castrol, a long-term primary partner of RFK Racing, will return to the team in an increased capacity for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, the organization announced on Thursday.

As part of a multi-year agreement, the widely-recognized brand will continue to serve as the team’s official oil partner, while expanding its presence on Brad Keselowski’s No. 6 Ford Mustang. The company will also serve as a primary partner on both RFK Racing entries in 2023, highlighting the Castrol Edge brand.

“We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with Castrol, as they have been an invaluable partner for our organization in every aspect of our business,” said Steve Newmark, President of RFK Racing. “Their leading, best-in-class lubricants and technology have helped to improve our performance on the track, leading us back to victory lane this season, along with many other strong runs.”

Castrol will begin its 2023 NASCAR Cup Series campaign at Auto Club Speedway, the final event for the track’s two-mile configuration, aboard the No. 6 Ford Mustang. The company will return to sponsor Keselowski’s entry at Phoenix (March 12), Talladega (April 23), Darlington (May 14), Atlanta (July 9), Bristol (September 16), Charlotte’s ROVAL (October 8), and the season-finale at Phoenix (November 5).

“Off the track, our collaboration around sustainability continues to generate feedback across our sport and beyond. As a team, we are dedicated to maintaining our carbon-neutral efforts and take pride in being the first team in our discipline to do so. Castrol has been the driving force behind that program and we’re looking forward to benefitting from their guidance and expertise in 2023 and beyond.”

In addition to eight races as a primary sponsor of the No. 6, Castrol Edge will be featured on the No. 17 Ford Mustang at Richmond (April 2), Michigan (August 6), and Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Road Course (August 13).

RFK Racing is set to enter its second season with Brad Keselowski as part of the ownership group, after a first season that saw the organization return to victory lane at Bristol Motor Speedway and make innovative organizational moves.
