Carvana, a longstanding partner of Jimmie Johnson, will return as a primary sponsor for the seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion during the 2024 season. The online vehicle buying and selling marketplace will serve as a three-race primary sponsor for Johnson and the No. 84 LEGACY MOTOR CLUB team this season.

The brand will adorn the No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE in two crown jewel events, the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400, as well as the season finale at Phoenix Raceway.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with Jimmie and LEGACY M.C. for a second season,” said Ryan Keeton, Carvana Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer. “Jimmie is not only the true embodiment of a champion, as recognized by his Hall of Fame induction this year, he is also a leader on and off the track and we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes this season.”

For Johnson, a NASCAR Hall of Famer, he is elated to take Carvana onto the track for the fourth season.

“I’m so proud to represent Carvana for a second NASCAR season, and our fourth season overall as partners, at some of my favorite races,” said Johnson. “Carvana is a fun brand that captures the joy of cars and racing and they do a great job leveraging their partnership with LEGACY M.C. I’m excited to have a shot at another Daytona 500 trophy in our new Toyota Camry XSE’s and the paint scheme is sure to be a fan favorite.”

According to a press release from LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, Johnson’s to-be-revealed Carvana paint schemes will honor the legacy that the driver has built across his NASCAR and IndyCar career with unique designs for each Carvana-sponsored race.

The three race sponsorship from Carvana boosts Johnson’s 2024 NASCAR Cup Series schedule to nine races, currently.

  • February 18: Daytona 500
  • April 14: Texas Motor Speedway

  • May 26: Charlotte Motor Speedway
  • July 21: Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Johnson, 48, had a rough three-race NASCAR return in 2023 as he averaged a finish of 35.3.

The legendary driver competed admirably inside the top-10 and top-15 in the season-opening Daytona 500, but a crash on Lap 204 ended his race and resulted in a 31st-place finish.

Johnson was involved in a race-ending crash at Circuit of the Americas on the opening lap of that event, and he had multiple spins, and finally a race-ending crash on Lap 115 of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
