Well, there is drama forming in the NASCAR Cup Series garage as Brad Keselowski’s No. 2 Discount Tire Ford Mustang has been heavily damaged after Keselowski collided with a gate on his path back onto the track for second practice.

As seen in a video posted to Twitter (Click here to watch), Keselowski was following another car. When the other car slowed down in front of him, Keselowski couldn’t get stopped in time. So, he turned right and slammed into the fence pole on a gate.

NASCAR tweeted a GIF which displays the damage that Keselowski took in the incident:

According to Larry McReynolds on FOX Sports, the collision with the gate not only crumpled the side body work of Keselowski’s car, but it damaged the exhaust pipes that run out the right side of the car and it ripped off the jack bolt as well.

The team intends on sticking with their primary race car, but they are scrambling to make the proper repairs to the No. 2 car.

Keselowski, one of the best restrictor plate track drivers in the sport today, has never won the Daytona 500 in 10-previous attempts.
