Brad Keselowski will not be throwing back to another driver from another era during Throwback weekend at Darlington Raceway, rather, he’ll be throwing it back to his own 2010 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship, which he achieved in the Discount Tire machine for Team Penske. Keselowski unveiled the scheme on a Wednesday edition of NASCAR Race Hub on FS1.

“A lot of people used to come up to me and tell me this was the best looking car on the race track,” Keselowski said. “So, we’re going to bring it back for Darlington Southern 500 throwback weekend. I’m a little nervous we’re starting to do throwbacks to myself, I don’t know what that’s trying to tell me, but still going to be really cool and it brings back great memories for me.”

In that magical 2010 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, Keselowski scored an incredible six wins and had 29 top-10s in 35 starts that season.

Keselowski has three NASCAR Cup Series wins in 2020, so he is secured in the NASCAR Playoffs. Darlington will serve as the opening race of the 2020 Playoffs. Keselowski, who won the Southern 500 back in 2018, is looking to get a potential second-championship run started off with another win in the crown jewel event.
