Black’s Tire, a long-time sponsor across various teams in NASCAR’s National Series, will return to Kaulig Racing to sponsor NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Hemric at Darlington Raceway, the organization confirmed on Monday.

The company first joined forces with Kaulig Racing last season, serving as the primary sponsor of AJ Allmendinger and the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro in last Spring’s Throwback Weekend event at Darlington Raceway.

As one of Goodyear’s leading tire partners in the Darlington area, BTS Tire & Wheel Distributors is excited to showcase both its throwback colors and logo in the May 12 event at Darlington Raceway, the first of two stops of the Cup Series schedule at the historic venue.

“We’re excited to team up with our friends at Kaulig Racing for the second time at Darlington,” said Ricky Benton, president at Black’s Tire. “With this year being our 95th anniversary, we thought what better way to celebrate than to use our ‘throwback’ colors for NASCAR’s annual throwback weekend.“

With many of the brand’s 70 locations located around Darlington Raceway, Black’s Tire will once again be giving back to its customers and team members by offering them a chance to bring their mothers to the track for an afternoon of action-packed racing, as part of its Mother’s Day promotion.

“Not only are we excited to team up with Black’s Tire for its 95th anniversary, but we have the chance to help thank moms of BTS employees and customers on Mother’s Day,” said President of Kaulig Racing, Chris Rice.”We’re proud to partner with an organization that values family as much as we do at Kaulig Racing. We can’t wait to take on ‘Too Tough To Tame’ together.”

The addition to Hemric’s sponsorship program comes at a perfect time, as the Kannapolis, North Carolina native comes off his first-ever streak of back-to-back top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Cup Series, scoring ninth-place results at Talladega Superspeedway and Dover Motor Speedway.

After 11 NASCAR Cup Series events, Hemric has placed himself 25th in point standings, on the strength of two top-10 and five top-20 results for the organization, while also being one of seven drivers to be running at the finish of each event.
