Austin Hill, an 11-time winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Richard Childress Racing (RCR), will return for a limited NASCAR Cup Series schedule with the organization in 2025, driving the No. 33 Chevrolet.

With backing from long-time sponsorship partner United Rentals, Hill will make his first of five scheduled NASCAR Cup Series starts this season at Darlington Raceway on April 6.

“I’m excited to compete in the No. 33 United Rentals Chevrolet again this year,” said Hill. “United Rentals has been a longtime supporter of my career and to continue that relationship once again at the top level of our sport is special. I’ve enjoyed my starts in the Cup Series so far and the goal is to keep learning every time I climb into the car. We have been strategic with adding new tracks to the lineup each season, which allows me to gain valuable experience. Racing for Richard at any level is an honor, but especially in the Cup Series. The focus remains on winning the Xfinity Series championship in November, but any laps in the Cup car are important for the future.”

In addition to the Goodyear 400 at Darlington, Hill will also contest NASCAR Cup Series events at the Chicago Street Course (July 6), Daytona International Speedway (August 23), Bristol Motor Speedway (September 13), and Talladega Superspeedway (October 19).

Andy Street, who worked with Hill on the No. 21 Xfinity Series entry from 2022 to 2024, will make his crew chief debut in the NASCAR Cup Series at Darlington, and serve as the shot-caller for Richard Childress Racing’s third part-time entry.

Since joining forces with Richard Childress Racing at the beginning of the 2022 campaign, Hill has made a total of 10 NASCAR Xfinity Series starts — some for affiliate team Beard Motorsports and others for Richard Childress Racing’s in-house part-time entry.

Of his starts at NASCAR’s top-level, Hill has a career-best result of 14th in the 2023 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway in August 2023, driving for Beard Motorsports.

In addition to its primary sponsorship of the No. 33 Chevrolet, United Rentals will also serve as a season-long associate sponsor for Austin Dillon and Kyle Busch in the NASCAR Cup Series.

“We are looking forward to racing with Richard Childress Racing and Austin Hill in the NASCAR Cup Series,” said Craig Schmidt, senior vice president of national accounts, United Rentals. “We have a shared culture of team work that really cements the partnership. We are excited to continue our support and give our customers unique experiences and a great team to root for.”

Hill is currently in the midst of his fourth full-time campaign with Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, in which he’s collected 11 victories. In four seasons, the Winston, Georgia-native has never finished worse than sixth in final point standings.

“United Rentals is not only a long-time supporter of Austin, but of our sport,” said Mike Verlander, president of RCR. “They have consistently and strategically used their partnerships to showcase their position as a leader in the equipment rental industry. We are proud to represent their brand once again this season and to have Austin back in the No. 33 Chevrolet. Our Xfinity Series program is designed to develop talent among drivers and crew members, and we are showcasing that progress.”

The Goodyear 400, the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series debut for Austin Hill, will take place on Sunday, April 6 at Darlington Raceway. Coverage of the event will be on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
