Rick Ware Racing’s sportscar team, RWR Eurasia will have a familiar name around the NASCAR circles behind the wheel of their Ligier JS P217 machine as Austin Dillon will join the four-driver team for the 2021 Rolex 24 at Daytona. The team shared this news with a press release on Thursday.

This will mark Dillon’s first-ever start in the iconic endurance race at the World Center of Speed.

Dillon joins Cody Ware and Salih Yoluc and a fourth driver to be named at a later time.

The 30-year old Dillon has three-career wins in the NASCAR Cup Series — driving for his grandfather’s team Richard Childress Racing — including one this past season at Texas Motor Speedway. Dillon has made the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs four of the last five seasons.

Additionally, Dillon is a former NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion.

Ware, who has driven in NASCAR for his father’s team — Rick Ware Racing — was part of the Asian Le Mans Series championship effort in 2020. Salih took the victory in the GTE-Am class at the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Dillon joins seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott as NASCAR drivers that have been announced for the 2021 Rolex 24 at Daytona entry list.
