File this one in the rare oddity section in NASCAR history. Aric Almirola’s No. 10 Smithfield Foods Ford Mustang was damaged on pit road before the start of Sunday’s Big Machine Vodka 400.

Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports posted a photo of the team feverishly trying to repair the car.

The bumper was apparently damaged as people were working their way back over the pit road wall after opening ceremonies were completed.

The team was able to get the damage repaired and they were able to roll from the grid in their 10th starting position.
