NFL Running Back Alvin Kamara is taking his new Growth and Engagement Advisor role with NASCAR seriously.

Kamara, who started working with NASCAR back in June, wore a special helmet visor, which featured the iconic NASCAR logo on it, in pregame workouts during Sunday’s NFL opening weekend.

Here is a photo of the visor that the NASCAR advisor was wearing on Sunday from The Sporting News:

And guess what? Kamara and the New Orleans Saints went on to route the Green Bay Packers by a score of 38 to 3 on Sunday.

Kamara, 26, accounted for 83 yards rushing and he also brought in three catches for eight yards. And one of Kamara’s receptions resulted in a touchdown.

While the Saints went out to a huge lead early in the game, the team — in the Kamara-NASCAR spirit — never pulled their foot off of the accelerator and marched toward a big win.

It was a dominating performance for Kamara and the Saints. This was the first game for the Saints since future NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees retired.

Because how well the Saints played on Sunday, I think the running back will keep the NASCAR pregame helmet visor as a part of his weekly routine.

Here is video from FOX of Kamara warming up with the visor, because we know you want to see it:

Alvin Kamara, in addition to his advisory role with NASCAR, has actually sponsored a race car this season as well.

Back in February, Kamara sponsored Ryan Vargas’ No. 6 JD Motorsports car in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at the Daytona Road Course. With the sponsorship, Kamara featured his New Orleans juice bar, The Big Squeezy on the No. 6 car.
