After bringing home the 2022 CARS Late Model Stocks Tour championship, 20-year-old Carson Kvapil is getting second for his first ARCA Menards Series platform start.

Today, Kvapil announced that he would be teaming up with Pinnacle Racing Group to pilot the No. 28 Chevrolet SS at Kansas Speedway in the Sioux Chief Fast Track 150. The news comes on the heels of the driver announcing he would be making his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut in a few weeks at Bristol Motor Speedway with Spire Motorsports in the No. 7 Truck.

“I am super excited to have the chance to race for Pinnacle Racing Group at Kansas Speedway on Friday night,” the Mooresville, NC native said.

“Kansas offers a lot of different track characteristics than what I am used to, but the guys are working hard preparing me for the race. I also can’t thank Mark Webb, Lorin Ranier, JR Motorsports, Chevrolet, and everyone else who helped put this deal together. I am ready to make them proud!” he added.

So far this year, the son of the former Truck Series Champ Travis Kvapil and the full-time CARS Late Model Stock Tour driver has 12 starts this season with five wins, 11 top-fives, and 12 top-10s and sits first in the points. One of his most notable career moments came last year, winning at the famed North Wilkesboro Speedway in the Racetrack Revival.

Shane Huffman will continue his crew chief duties atop the box for the No. 28 and Kvapil.

“We are very excited to continue expanding our driver portfolio with Carson this weekend at Kansas Speedway,” said Huffman. “Carson’s track record speaks for itself, and we are proud to be the outlet that allows him to make his ARCA Menards Series debut this weekend.

You can catch Kvapil’s ARCA Menards Series debut in the Sioux Chief Fast Track 150 on Thursday at 6 PM E.T./5 PM C.T. live on FS1 and FloRacing. You can check out our preview here.
