There’s no question that Andrew Ranger has had an eventful couple of seasons when it comes to the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, hopping from team to team to compete for his fourth championship in the Canadian-based series.

This season, the Roxton Pond, Quebec-native entered a new venture with GM Paille and Marc-Antoine Camirand, which has already paid major dividends for both Ranger and his teammate.

Starting the event in fifth place, Ranger followed his teammate Marc-Antoine Camirand to the front of the pack in the early portion of the event, being patient in his journey to the top-three spots.

The 35-year-old had methodically moved into second place at the halfway point of the event, behind his teammate, until a miscommunication threw a wrench into the plan of the GM Paille teammates.

Coming to pit road one lap too early for Camirand and one lap too late for Ranger, resulted in end-of-line penalties for both drivers, placing them at the back-half of the top-10.

Through a series of cautions and restarts, Camirand and Ranger were able to maneuver through the pack, eventually joining the battle for the lead with DJ Kennington with just under 50 laps to go.

Ranger secured the lead from Kennington with 45 circuits remaining, then enduring multiple late-race restarts and bump-and-run attempts to secure his 31st victory in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series.

The event would ultimately end under caution after Larry Jackson spun his No. 84 around coming to the checkered flag, drawing the 10th and final caution of the afternoon.

DJ Kennington and Marc-Antoine Camirand finished second and third at Autodrome Chaudiere, with LP Dumoulin and Alex Tagliani rounding out the top five. Raphael Lessard, Gary Klutt, Brett Taylor, Brandon Watson, and Simon Dion-Viens completed the top-10.

The NASCAR Pinty’s Series heads to Eastbound International Raceway for the series’ fourth race of the 11-race 2022 campaign on Saturday, June 25th.

Leaving the third event of the season, Kevin Lacroix and Alex Tagliani are tied for the points lead in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, with Gary Klutt, Marc-Antoine Camirand, and LP Dumoulin rounding out the top-five.
