ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Nolan Siegel paced the second Indy NXT by Firestone Series practice session on the streets of St. Petersburg.

The 18-year-old went around the 14-turn, 1.8 mile street circuit in 1 minute, 6.asdf seconds in the No. 39 Dallara IL-15 for HMD Motorsports.

The session sustained two interruptions for contact. The No. 21 entry of Kyffin Simpson hit the tire barrier in Turn 4 with the left front corner of his car. Simpson was seen and released from the IndyCar medical staff.

Within the final few minutes of the session, Josh Green hit the wall in the No. 3 entry from HMD Motorsports on the exit of Turn 9. The left front corner of that car was also destroyed and the session ended early due to that contact.

Indy NXT qualifying will take place at 1:35 p.m. ET with the race following at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, March 5th.
