Video: Corey Day and Toni Breidinger Crash Big in ARCA Race at Salem

Entering Saturday’s ARCA Menards Series event at Salem Speedway, there was a ton of hype surrounding Chevrolet prospect Corey Day, making his series debut in the No. 28 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet SS for Pinnacle Racing Group.

The 18-year-old racer was battling for second place with Lavar Scott when contact was made between the two cars, which got the High Limit Sprint Car winner sideways and spinning around.

During his long slide down the backstretch, there were moments where it looked as though Day would save his HendrickCars.com Chevrolet from major damage, but while trying to avoid the wreck, Toni Breidinger slammed into the side of the No. 28.

That contact destroyed both cars and ended what would be promising evenings for both Day and Breidinger. Both drivers will be relegated to finishes outside the top-15 in an attrition-filled ARCA Salem 200.
