For the first time since August 2, 2008, Central Coast Racing is in Victory Lane in the ARCA Menards Series West, winning Saturday’s Shasta 150 at Shasta Speedway with Tyler Reif.

Driving the team’s flagship No. 13 Toyota Camry, Reif put on a dominant performance in Saturday’s event, the seventh of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series West campaign, leading wire-to-wire en route to his second career victory.

“It means the world to me, [this team and I] have worked so hard this year, it’s still our first year together and we’ve done nothing but grind and be consistent and get better and better,” said Reif. “Last night we worked with the outside and today we worked with a bunch of different lines. I think the lappers helped, and they didn’t help, but I think everything went our way tonight and that’s what we’ve been needing.”

With his victory on Saturday, the 17-year-old driver returns to the points lead in the ARCA Menards Series West, firing back at defending series champion Sean Hingorani, who looked to get the better of the Central Coast Racing driver after sweeping an Independence Day doubleheader at Irwindale.

Hingorani, driving this weekend for Jerry Pitts Racing in the No. 5, was the only driver able to remotely stay in touch with Reif during the event, but faded late, dropping more than two seconds behind the eventual race-winner, and having to settle for second.

Trevor Huddleston finished a distant third, while Derek Copeland, in his ARCA Menards Series West debut, finished an impressive fourth place. Kyle Keller rounded out the top five for Kennealy-Keller Motorsports.

Jack Wood started on the outside of the front row, but faded to sixth, with Todd Souza, Nick Joanides, Takuma Koga, and David Smith rounding out the top-10.

Jaron Giannini, Eric Johnson, Jr., and Robbie Kenneally were the three drivers who failed to finish the event, finishing 11th through 13th.

Leaving Shasta, Tyler Reif jumps into the points lead by five markers over Sean Hingorani.

Next for the series is a trip to Tri-County Speedway on Saturday, August 10th.
