The 2023 NASCAR Canada Series champion, Treyten Lapcevich, will be tapped to drive the No. 15 Toyota Camry for Venturini Motorsports in his ARCA Menards Series debut on Friday evening at Phoenix Raceway.

Hailing from Grimsby, Ontario, Lapcevich has been driving in the NASCAR Canada Series since 2020 and has claimed five total wins and 23 top-1os in just 29 series starts, along with his 2023 title.

The 20-year-old Lapcevich made the jump to the CARS Tour in 2024 and gained traction in the stock car racing world after winning two prestigious events in the spring at North Wilkesboro Speedway and taking home the South Carolina 400 victory at Florence Motor Speedway.

Lapcevich’s older brother Cayden is the 2016 NASCAR Canada Series champion. He was also the crew chief for Toni Breidinger in the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season and even relieved Breidinger at Watkins Glen International, finishing 17th in the No. 25 Toyota Camry.

Treyten is a third-generation racer as is also his father Jeff, who competed in what was the CASCAR Super Series. Jeff also drove in the Grand-Am Road Racing Series.

“I’m excited about this new opportunity and hoping to run well and build off this start and add more races along the way,” said Lapcevich in a press release from Venturini Motorsports.

“Phoenix will be my first race on a one-mile track so I’ve been preparing as much as I can by watching film and working on the simulator. At this moment my focus is on Phoenix and getting my first taste of the ARCA series. I feel like I’m in a good place and my confidence level is high going into the weekend knowing Venturini Motorsports will unload us a fast Toyota.”

Lapcevich will race alongside his teammates of Patrick Staropoli in the No. 25, who just signed on to compete part-time in select ARCA races this season, as well as ARCA Menards Series regulars of Lawless Alan in the No. 20 and Isabella Robusto in the No. 55 Toyota Camry entries.

The General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway will air live on FS1 at 8 pm EST on Saturday, March 7.
