As the ARCA Menards Series heads into Salem Speedway to begin the second half of its 2024 season, Ryan Roulette is ready to tackle a new track and continue to gain experience.

Heading into the Salem 200, this marks Roulette’s eighth race of the year, his most in a season and riding back-to-back top 15 finishes.

“After getting put into the wall at Berlin after getting hit in the left rear quarter panel by one of our competitors, we are looking forward to getting back after it in Salem,” the Minot ND native said.

“We have our short track Fast Track Racing #12 VFW Ford back together and we are ready for this new challenge. This track is unlike any other on our schedule this year and the best notes we have for racing a high-banked short track is from our 18th place finish at Bristol last season, albeit in a completely different racecar. We are still hunting our first top 10 this season,” he added.

The 38-year-old has one top-10 in the ARCA platform at Nashville Fairgrounds back in 2021.

“We showed speed for potential top-10s during our last two outings at Iowa and Berlin but have been struck with bad luck that took us out of contention during both races.”

It’s also a special weekend for Roulette and his partners at the Veterans of Foregain War. This weekend also marks the start of the 125th VFW National Convention just across the river from Salem Speedway in Louisville, KY. Ryan will be down there on Sunday with a car on display.

“During the race, we will have VFW Member and USAF Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield vehicle operations Veteran Mike Curry as our honorary pit crew member.”

Curry is part of VFW Post 3281 in New Albany, Indiana “where the post achieved All State and Al-American Status during his tenure as Post Commander.”

You can catch Roulette’s debut on the high banks of Salem Speedway on Saturday, July 27th at 8 PM ET on FS1.
