Marco Andretti has joined Cook Racing Technologies for the 2024 racing season and will run a total of 21 races across the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series this season, according to a press release.
Andretti will pilot the No. 04 Chevrolet Silverado for Roper Racing, which has formed an alliance with Cook Racing Technologies, in seven NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events beginning with Circuit of the Americas in March.
The Pennsylvania native will also pilot the No. 17 Chevrolet entry in 14 races for CRT in the ARCA Menards Series.
CRT is honored to have the opportunity to develop Andretti on his quest through the NASCAR ranks, and Bruce Cook will serve as Andretti’s crew chief throughout the 2024 campaign.
“I am looking forward to working with Marco and helping him to develop and grow as a driver in stock cars,” said Bruce Cook, team owner of Cook Racing Technologies. “Marco has a proven track record across multiple racing platforms. I think with some more seat time and guidance in the stock car world, he’ll be able to compete up front on a regular basis.”
Andretti is excited to work on honing his craft behind the wheel of a stock car with a diverse schedule of tracks between the ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2024.
“I’m really happy with the program we’ve put in place for my racing schedule in 2024,” Andretti said in a press release. “This plan is a good mixture of races with the ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series that provides maximum track time, which is what I’m after. It will answer a lot of my unknowns in stock cars. I also want to do it the right way and not go right to the top of their sport on my INDYCAR and SRX merit as I respect the amount of talent in all of the various stock car series. I’m looking forward to having a lot of fun with Bruce and the team. I’m confident that we can be pretty competitive right out of the gate.”
While the press release on Thursday states that Andretti will compete in 21 total races, a schedule graphic shared by Andretti on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday lists 20 total races.

CRT is the defending ARCA Menards Series West championship-winning team, which means Andretti will have very capable equipment underneath him in the ARCA Menards Series this year.
The Roper Racing team has also shown flashes of great speed when the team has proper funding from sponsorship.
Andretti, 36, competed in three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series events during the 2023 season and recorded a best finish of 18th at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Andretti qualified an impressive seventh in his series debut at Mid-Ohio, and he came home 19th in a very wet, and wild race around that race course.
The racer made his NASCAR National Series debut at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL in October 2022. Following an early exit from that event, and a 36th-place finish, Andretti explained that he would like to try more NASCAR races in the future. Now, in 2024, he’ll be expanding to a 21-race stock car racing schedule.
