Jake Finch, son of car owner James Finch, grabbed his first ever ARCA Menards Series East General Tire Pole Award at the Nashville Fairgrounds with a speedy lap time of 19.529.

The 16-year-old will be wheeling the No. 1 Phoenix Construction Chevrolet, the same car he drove in his debut just a few months ago at Five Flags Speedway.

Points leader Sammy Smith will start alongside Finch on the front row, looking to grab his third win of the season already in just four races.

Fellow full-time series driver Leland Honeyman starts in the third spot, with the defending winner of the Monster Mile – Taylor Gray – right next to him. Michael Lira also put up an impressive qualifying effort, as he slots into the fifth starting position in his No. 60 JW Motorsports Chevrolet.

Mason Mingus, Christian Rose, Donald Theetge, Matt Wilson, and Tanner Arms round out the top ten starting positions, all in the 20-second bracket.

However, it was not a pretty practice/qualifying session for Nate Moeller.

TobyChristie.com has not gotten any further updates from the track as to what this means for tonight’s status of the No. 06 Wayne Peterson Racing entry.

The Music City 200 on the 0.596-mile paved oval in Nashville is set to get underway at 8:30 p.m. CT on FloRacing.
