After a tough outing at Iowa Speedway that saw him finishing a tough 25th place, sim racer to reality Presley Sorah is set for a big opportunity in a few weeks. The Indiana native will continue his 2024 ARCA Menards Series East campaign at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, his home track with Fast Track Racing for the Circle City 200.

“I’ve been going to races there as a fan for many years. The first ARCA race I ever attended was at IRP so to now race there in front of a hometown crowd of my own will be surreal,” the Cambridge City, IN native said on the chance to get behind the wheel in his backyard.

“Racing in the IRP ARCA race has been one of my priorities this year, not only because it’s in my home state, but because I think I can do very well there. Andy and I had talked about it early in the year, I think even as far back as last December, and we finalized the deal on the Thursday of Charlotte weekend this year at the Fast Track shop.”

So far this year, Sorah has run three of the five races in the ARCA Menards Series East with a best of a 14th place finish back at the season opener and his debut at Five Flags Speedway. Most recently, he drove the second car for Clubb Racing Inc. at Iowa this past weekend.

“Some of the biggest names in our sport raced and found success at IRP early in their careers, namely Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart. I’m honored to add my name to the list of drivers that have raced there… I want to thank everyone that’s helped me so far this year. OEM Pensacola, Tatanka Sauce, Layin Coin Podcast, Bad Boy Mowers, Maconi Setup Shop, the list goes on and on. Racing in Indy wouldn’t be possible without the help of all of those people, and the incredible people at Fast Track Racing.”

As for the rest of the season, Presley said that nothing is set in stone yet, but he and his team are working on deals. “Discussions are certainly being had.”

You can catch the hometown kid’s debut live on FS1 for the Circle City 200 at 5:30 p.m. ET on July 19th.
