After a stellar season opener with an upset winner, the ARCA Menards Series is back in action this weekend at Phoenix Raceway. Along with the ARCA West Series joining for their 2023 season debut.

Breaking down the race, there are some things to note going into the weekend.

Andres Perez de Lara is now full-time in the series after having to sit out the Daytona race due to age. He will be behind the wheel of the no. 2 for Rev Racing.

After announcing a full-time ARCA East Campaign, Sean Hingorani and Venturini Motorsports announced they’ll also be running ARCA West full-time. The 16-year-old will make his VMS debut this weekend driving the no. 15 Toyota.

A lot of eyes are on the no. 18 for Joe Gibbs Racing as rookie William Sawalich will be making his ARCA Menards Series debut. The Eden Prairie, MN native is a highly touted prospect and someone to pay attention to.

Looking at the ARCA West Series, Bill McAnally Racing will be one to watch heading into the weekend. Tanner Reif returns for his sophomore campaign in the ARCA West Series in the no. 16 and is looking for the title after finishing runner-up last year to West Champ Jake Drew.

After a strong showing and a win last season, Landen Lewis will hop behind the wheel of the no. 17 for Steve McGowan.

The General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway is Friday night at 8 P.M. ET on Fox Sports 2.
