On Wednesday Morning, Greg Van Alst Motorsports announced their intentions of returning to the ARCA Menards Series for a limited schedule in 2021, beginning with the season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway on February 13th.

The Anderson, Indiana-native hasn’t made a start in the series in nearly two decades – running three races for Locke Bros. Racing in 2002, scoring a best finish of 15th – but took part in the series’ annual two-day test at Daytona in January 2020, reigniting his spark to compete in the ARCA Menards Series once again.

The organization will participate in the two-day test in January, before bringing their No. 35 Chevrolet SS to Daytona International Speedway in February for the season-opener, for which the team has acquired equipment from Chad Bryant Racing.

“I’m very excited about 2021,” said Van Alst. “This is a great opportunity for myself and my Greg Van Alst Motorsports team to come to the ARCA Menards Series with some great marketing partners and pursue the best in on-track performance.”

CB Fabricating – a longtime partner with Greg Van Alst Motorsports – will enhance its commitment with the organization and become the primary marketing partner of the team’s ARCA Menards Series effort.

“Without the support of Chris Barkdull and everyone at CB Fabricating, this chance to elevate our team to the next level would not have been possible,” added Van Alst. “We have set goals for ourselves in 2021, and I believe we are aligning ourselves with the right people who can allow us to turn heads not only at Daytona but throughout the 2021 season.”

Additional specifics on the ARCA Menards Series plans for Greg Van Alst Motorsports – including crew chief and specific race schedule – will be forthcoming.
