Late model driver Christopher Tate is set to take his talents to a bigger stage this Memorial Day Weekend as he has signed with Fast Track Racing to run the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“After a very long couple of years, I am thrilled to announce that I will be making my ARCA Menards Series debut on May 24th with Fast Track Racing,” Tate said in a post on social media.

“While my ultimate goal has been and still is to compete in NASCAR on a full-time basis, this is a major step in the right direction and accomplishes one of the many goals I look to achieve in my career,” he added.

The Chico, TX native has been part of the 3F Racing development program for a few years now.

“The Charlotte Race weekend is very important to me, being stationed in North Carolina and having a lifelong dream of becoming a Driver. Becoming the first Active-Duty Marine to race in NASCAR, and to make my first step in my national racing journey is so surreal” Tate added.

Some of the partners joining Tate for the race include T Top Manufacturing, Cash Customs & Sun West Construction. These won’t be the only ones riding along with him on the Fast Track machine.

“I lost 2 good friends of mine due to a vehicle rollover on the way to a training exercise in January of 2022. I’m proud to say I will have both LCpl Jonathan Gierke and PFC Zachary Riffle riding shotgun on the car with me, as well as inviting both of their families to the track as my guests that weekend.”

You can catch Tate’s debut in the ARCA Menards Series on Memorial Day Weekend live on FS1 at 6:00 PM ET on Friday, May 24th.
