It’s a busy weekend for drivers in the ARCA Menards Series, they’ll go from the high speeds of Michigan International Speedway to the flat dirt of the historic Springfield Mile at the Illinois State Fairgrounds for the Springfield 100.

The mile dirt track is one of the most historic in American motorsports, dating back to its construction in 1910. The series has been kicking the dirt up at the fairgrounds since 1983 with former winners the likes of Tim Steele, Frank Kimmel, Kevin Swindell, and Brent Crews.

It’s a stacked roster of women for Venturini Motorsports on the dirt. Joining regulars Toni Breidinger and Amber Balcaen are Isabella Robusto and Taylor Reimer. Kris Wright continues his run in the No. 15.

Robusto has had strong runs all year but hasn’t been able to close the door and get her first career win. Meanwhile, Reimer and her No. 55 BuzzBallz Toyota will look to improve on her eighth place here last year.

All will look to stop the domination from William Sawalich and his Joe Gibbs Racing team. He’s gone back to back in his last two ARCA Menards Series national platform races at Salem and Elko, and he looks to help the heat on. History isn’t on his side though, as he was only able to get a best of fifth on the dirt last year.

Joining to come play in the dirt includes Kelly Kovski from nearby Sherman, IL. The 43-year-old driver has been a regular for the dirt races, and he’s looking to break through and get that elusive win.

Other notables looking to get down and dirty include regulars like Andres Perez, Lavar Scott, and Christian Rose. With some notable familiar faces popping back in like Dale Quarterley, Sean Corr, and Brayton Laster.

You can catch the Springfield 100 live on FS1 at 2 P.M. on Sunday.
