After successfully qualifying for the Daytona 500 in back-to-back seasons, TMT Racing won’t be making the trip to Daytona Beach, Florida for the Great American Race this February, team co-owner Willy Auchmoody confirmed to TobyChristie.com on Tuesday.

While the organization won’t be starting its 2024 campaign with the remainder of the NASCAR Cup Series field, Auchmoody says that the organization is aiming to have the No. 50 Chevrolet back on track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in March.

The Money Team Racing (known more commonly as TMT Racing) has attempted to qualify for six events in the NASCAR Cup Series over the last two seasons, and like co-owner Floyd Mayweather, Jr., has been undefeated when it comes to making the show.

Last season, the organization entered a pair of NASCAR Cup Series events with NTT IndyCar Series regular Conor Daly, in which the BitNile-sponsored No. 50 Chevrolet Camaro appeared on-track in the Daytona 500 and at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in March.

Daly would quickly become one of the more jaw-dropping stories of Speedweeks, overcoming several mechanical gremlins throughout Wednesday and Thursday to make a shock appearance in the Daytona 500, due to attrition in the second duel race.

The tense moments experienced during last year’s Bluegreen Vacations Duel weren’t new for TMT Racing, though, despite only being a second-year, part-time team in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Just one season prior, Kaz Grala managed to overcome a speeding penalty under green-flag conditions to make a last-lap pass on JJ Yeley, which locked TMT Racing into the organization’s first-ever NASCAR Cup Series event, the 2022 Daytona 500.

Further details surrounding the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series plans for TMT Racing, including driver, sponsorship, and a full schedule of events are forthcoming, according to Auchmoody,
