Grant Enfinger to Reunite with CR7 Motorsports for Full Truck Campaign in 2024

Grant Enfinger, who finished second in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points, will reunite with CR7 Motorsports for a full-season campaign in 2024, the team announced on Tuesday.

“I am extremely excited about this opportunity,” said Enfinger. “I have known Codie and his family for a long time and they have become like family to me.”

The 38-year-old, a 10-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series winner, will pilot the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado RST for the single-truck operation owned by Codie Rohrbaugh, just one season after being displaced by the closure of GMS Racing’s NASCAR Truck Series program.

“When the opportunity came along, I knew that Grant was the perfect choice,” said Codie Rohrbaugh, team owner of CR7 Motorsports. “With our efforts to elevate our racing program in 2024, I am confident in what Grant will bring to the team.”

Champion Power Equipment, which has served as a primary partner for Enfinger since 2016, will follow the Fairhope, Alabama native as he moves to CR7 Motorsports in 2024. Grant County Mulch will also serve as a primary partner of the entry.

“We are bringing along Champion Power Equipment, they have been instrumental in my career for over nine years. They have been a huge part of my success in the truck series,” said Enfinger. “It is incredibly special to be able to continue that relationship.”

Enfinger has been a mainstay in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for several years, with the upcoming campaign marking his eighth competing on a full-time basis in the series, for a variety of teams including ThorSport Racing and GMS Racing.

After getting scaled back to a part-time role with ThorSport Racing in 2021, Enfinger joined CR7 Motorsports for a nine-race slate in the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado, where he picked up a fourth-place finish at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), as well as three total top-10s.

Throughout an 11-season career in the NASCAR Truck Series, Enfinger has recorded 173 starts, which have resulted in 10 victories, 58 top-five finishes, and 102 finishes inside the top-10.

In that time, Enfinger was able to record three points and finish inside the top five, including a career-high second-place result in 2023, while driving for GMS Racing.

The hiring of an established veteran of Grant Enfinger, is likely to be a stepping stone to consistently improved performance for the organization, which will also have a technical alliance with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, as owner Bill McAnally confirmed last week.

Jeff Stankewicz, a championship-winning crew chief in the NASCAR Truck Series, will serve as crew chief of the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado in 2024.

“I feel like we have all the right pieces in place. With Chevrolet’s help and support, we were able to put this together and have the resources it takes to truly win races and contend for championships. I am expecting growing pains, but I also foresee performance from the beginning,” said Enfinger. “I can’t say thank you enough to everyone that made this happen. Especially Codie and the entire Grant County Mulch family and everyone at Champion Power Equipment. I am extremely excited about this next chapter in my career and couldn’t be more happy about my decision.”
