Noah Gragson has filed an entry for Saturday’s ASA STARS National Tour event at Toledo Speedway, teaming up with Rette Jones Racing, a Super Late Model program co-owned by Terry Jones and Mark Rette.

The organization, which also fields the No. 30 Ford Mustang in the ARCA Menards Series for Frankie Muniz, will break out the entry for the Las Vegas, Nevada native’s return to racing.

On August 5th, Gragson was suspended indefinitely by his NASCAR Cup Series team, LEGACY MOTOR CLUB, and eventually by NASCAR, after it was discovered he liked a racially insensitive meme on Instagram. The 25-year-old driver would later request to be released from his contract.

After being suspended by NASCAR for 37 days, Gragson was reinstated by the sanctioning body on Tuesday, and therefore is now eligible to compete in NASCAR-sanctioned events once again. No plans have been announced for Gragson to return to NASCAR.

However, in his first on-track excursion since his reinstatement, Gragson will tackle the Toledo Speedway, taking on the stars of the ASA STARS National Tour, a division and style of Late Model racing that he isn’t a stranger to.

In December 2022, Gragson joined forces with Rette Jones Racing to compete in the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. Gragson would go on to finish 20th in the No. 30 Chevrolet.

Gragson has done a great deal of racing, climbing up the ranks of NASCAR by winning in the ARCA Menards Series West, ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Since joining the NASCAR Cup Series on a part-time basis in 2021, Gragson has made 39 career starts, driving for Beard Motorsports, Kaulig Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, and LEGACY MOTOR CLUB.

Throughout his career at NASCAR’s top level, Gragson has recorded a single top-five and top-10 finish, coming when he scored a fifth-place result at Daytona International Speedway while driving for Beard Motorsports.

The 200-lap main event at Toledo Speedway for the ASA STARS National Tour is set to begin at 5:30 PM ET on Saturday, September 16th. For those looking to watch the race, it will be available on Racing America as a PPV event.
