Chase Elliott will have an eye-catching new paint scheme for Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series event at Bristol Motor Speedway, as the series’ most popular driver looks to have another gold-star performance at the 0.533-mile facility.
The Dawsonville, Georgia native will carry the colors of NAPA Gold Filters, a line of high-quality oil filters that use innovative engineering and high-quality media to ensure your engines run clear and free of dirt, metal particles, and other contaminants.
Hendrick Motorsports unveiled the sleek new paint scheme for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion on their social media channels on Tuesday, which will stand out under the lights on Saturday, as Elliott chases his first points-paying win at Bristol.

However, the 27-year-old driver does have experience winning at the historic short track, after scoring the victory in the 2020 NASCAR All-Star Race, the only iteration of the event to take place at Bristol Motor Speedway.
After missing seven races earlier in the season, due to an injury and a one-race suspension, Elliott is not eligible for the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, but has qualified the No. 9 Chevrolet for the NASCAR Cup Series Owner’s Playoffs.
Regardless, the 18-time NASCAR Cup Series winner is looking to turn his season around, being winless this deep into a campaign for the first time since the 2017 season, prior to claiming his first career victory at NASCAR’s top level.
While a victory wouldn’t advance his championship hopes, it would give Hendrick Motorsports another opportunity to run deep into the NASCAR Cup Series Owner’s Playoffs, joining his teammates Kyle Larson and William Byron, who have both had strong campaigns.
