Video: Tyler Reddick Loses Right-Rear Wheel During Nashville Green-Flag Pit Cycle

Tyler Reddick was running at the front of the field prior to pit stops, but a loose wheel will cost him two laps, after spinning at the entrance to pit road.

Tyler Reddick was running in the second spot before the field embarked on the green-flag pit stop cycle. However, a mistake by the No. 45 team on pit road, is going to cost Reddick at least two laps, and potentially a chance at the victory.

The Corning, California-native had already made his pit stop under the green flag, when he started to feel the right-rear tire come loose while driving around Nashville Superspeedway, forcing him to return to pit road.

However, just before he could get there, the right-rear wheel became detached from the No. 45, causing the four-time NASCAR Cup Series winner to lose control of his entry and spin into the grass, drawing the caution.

Reddick’s wheel coming loose was deemed to be on pit road, which just resulted in a tail-end of the longest line penalty for the No. 45 team. No penalties are expected mid-week as a result of this incident.
