Aric Almirola delivered a shove to Bubba Wallace during a rain delay in the NASCAR Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

There have been so many rain delays and stoppages this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway that Aric Almirola and Bubba Wallace decided to add some excitement to the first (and hopefully final) red flag of Monday’s attempt at the Coca-Cola 600.

According to Charlotte Motor Speedway’s track feed, the heated discussion and eventual shove from Almirola to Wallace was provoked by an incident in turn three, where the Stewart-Haas Racing driver cut high, making contact with the No. 23.

Upon finding each other during the rain delay, Wallace and Almirola were involved in a passionate discussion, which eventually came to a boiling point with the Tampa, Florida native as he delivered a major shove to the 23XI Racing driver.

Whether or not this will have implications for the remainder of the Coca-Cola 600, as far as the pair of drivers racing in the middle of the pack throughout the remaining 250 laps of the event.

With 234 laps to go, Almirola currently sits 14th in his No. 10 Ford Mustang, while Wallace, driving the No. 23 Toyota Camry, currently sits in 26th, one lap behind the leader.
