Parker Retzlaff crash Talladega 2023 Ag-Pro 300 video highlight NASCAR Xfinity crash
Parker Retzlaff got turned into Anthony Alfredo after contact from Derek Kraus and Parker Chase.

The opening of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway was fierce, yet clean — up until a four-car incident on lap 38.

The carnage ensued after contact between Derek Kraus, in the No. 10 Kaulig Racing Chevrolet Camaro, and Parker Chase, in the No. 24 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota Supra. The nudge from Kraus sent Chase into the rear of Parker Retzlaff.

The contact into the right rear of Retzlaff sent Retzlaff spinning out of control up the track directly into the path of Anthony Alfredo.

Here is a video of the Lap 38 incident:

The crash put an end to the day for Alfredo, who had been running very strong, and Chase. Kraus remained on the lead lap in 28th, while Retzlaff lost a lap receiving repairs.

“Just the usual when you let kids drive cars faster than they have an ability for,” Alfredo said about the incident after emerging from the infield care center.
