Mason Filippi will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Circuit of The Americas, piloting the No. 34 Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing.

After making his debut in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series last year, Mason Filippi is prepared to kick off his 2023 NASCAR campaign this weekend at Circuit of The Americas.

Filippi will compete in the first of two road course events on the NASCAR Truck Series calendar, driving the No. 34 Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing. OpenFender.com will serve as the primary sponsor of the entry.

“I am extremely excited to be joining Reaume Brothers Racing for COTA in the Craftsman Truck Series. Our OpenFender Ford F-150 is ready to take on the competition,” said Filippi. “The team is putting in great work on and off the track, creating an amazing program. After karting with Josh at the end of last season, I’m happy to be working with him and his team. I’m grateful for the opportunity to jump in a Craftsman Truck again at one of my favorite tracks.”

Filippi began his racing career behind the wheel of Mazda MX-5s, which saw him gaining experience on road courses from the young age of 15. Over the course of his career, Filippi has collected wins in the Pirelli World Challenge and IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.

“Mason [Filippi] is an accomplished road racer and we’ve worked very hard to give him a good piece for COTA,” said Josh Reaume, owner of Reaume Brothers Racing. “Our team has a good track record for success on road courses and high expectations for his ability to produce this weekend.”

The 24-year-old driver attempted to qualify for a pair of NASCAR Xfinity Series events with DGM Racing last year, recording a 25th-place result on debut at Portland International Raceway.

Additionally, Filippi competed in a single NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event last season, driving for G2G Racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, but recorded a last-place finish after the engine expired nine laps into the event.

Filippi will be the fourth driver to get behind the wheel of the organization’s second entry this season, after Jason White drove at Daytona, Josh Reaume at Las Vegas, and most recently, Keith McGee at Atlanta.

The organization enters Circuit of The Americas sitting 40th in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series owner points, meaning Filippi will need to qualify his way into the field on Saturday, should there be more than 36 trucks on the entry list.
