It was an intense battle in the closing laps of Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but after all the smoke cleared, it was Joey Logano who captured his first victory of 2023.

Now, with the completion of post-race technical inspection, Logano has officially captured the victory in the fifth event of the NASCAR Cup Series season, driving the No. 22 AutoTrader Ford Mustang for Team Penske.

NASCAR officially announced the completion of technical inspection at 8:03 PM ET. As is a common procedure, No. 2 (Austin Cindric) and No. 7 (Corey LaJoie) will return to NASCAR’s R&D Center for further teardown.

The victory, which Logano pried from the hands of former teammate Brad Keselowski on the race’s final lap, is the 32nd for the Connecticut-native in the NASCAR Cup Series, and the 136th in the series for Team Penske.

Brad Keselowski, Christopher Bell, Corey LaJoie, and Tyler Reddick will retain their positions in the top-five, as will the remainder of the field, as there were no issues in the inspection process on Sunday.

All race results and point standings distributed by NASCAR are now deemed official.
