William Byron is officially the first multi-time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series for 2023, after capturing the victory in NASCAR Overtime at Phoenix Raceway.
Byron, driving the No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro, has officially been named the winner of the 2023 United Rentals Work United 500 at Phoenix Raceway, collecting his second victory of the season, and the sixth of his NASCAR Cup Series career.
NASCAR officially announced the completion of post-race technical inspection at [], giving Byron and Hendrick Motorsports their second consecutive victory of the season.
Ryan Blaney, Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson, and Kevin Harvick will retain their positions inside the top five, as will the remainder of the field, with no drivers failing post-race inspection.
Additionally, the No. 20 (Christopher Bell) and No. 1 (Ross Chastain) will be taken back to NASCAR’s R&D Center for a complete teardown. Any penalties from those cars – as well as the confiscation from hood louvers on the No. 5, 9, 24, 31, and 48 – will be announced mid-week.
Now, all results and point standings distributed by NASCAR are deemed to be official. Up next for the NASCAR Cup Series is Atlanta Motor Speedway, where all three of NASCAR’s National Series will visit next weekend.
