Caesar Bacarella put in an incredible qualifying effort for Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. 300 at Daytona International Speedway. However, the 47-year-old, who was set to start from 17th position, will not participate in the race.
Alpha Prime Racing co-owner Tommy Joe Martins disclosed to TobyChristie.com that Stefan Parsons will fill in for Bacarella. Alpha Prime Racing later confirmed that Bacarella was suffering from stomach issues. Bacarella was treated and released from the Daytona International Speedway infield care center.

With Bacarella on the sidelines, Parsons now has an incredible opportunity at his finger tips. The 24-year-old will pilot the fastest of the three Alpha Prime Racing cars from Saturday’s qualifying session, as he attempts to chase his first-career victory.
Parsons competed in a total of 24 NASCAR Xfinity Series events in 2022, and he impressed mightily with the upstart Alpha Prime Racing organization.
The North Carolina native recorded his first-career top-10 finish with an eighth-place effort at Bristol Motor Speedway. Parsons was also running inside the top-five late in the event at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval, but was swept up in a late-race crash.
Parsons is the son of FOX Sports broadcaster and former NASCAR Cup Series race winner Phil Parsons.
