Joe Graf Jr. Inks Five-Race Xfinity Deal with Joe Gibbs Racing

Joe Graf Jr. will compete in five NASCAR Xfinity Series events for Joe Gibbs Racing, piloting the No. 19 Toyota Supra, beginning at Auto Club Speedway.

Joe Graf Jr. will officially contest the full NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule in 2023, announcing on Wednesday that he’s secured a five-race deal with series juggernaut Joe Gibbs Racing.

The 24-year-old, who last week announced he would compete in the majority of NASCAR Xfinity Series events for RSS Racing, will pilot the No. 19 Toyota GR Supra in select events, starting with back-to-back races at Auto Club and Las Vegas.

Graf will then return to the Joe Gibbs Racing entry at Richmond Raceway in April, before rounding out his five-race campaign at New Hampshire in July, and Kansas in September.

“Joe (Graf) is committed to success, which is something we are looking for in all of our drivers,” said Steve DeSouza, Executive Vice President of NXS and Development. “We are anticipating a solid season from the No. 19 team and Joe’s addition to the driver lineup will help that team be competitive for the owner’s championship this season.”

CoverSeal and G-Coin will both maintain their relationship with Graf, adorning the No. 19 Toyota GR Supra in his five Xfinity Series events for Joe Gibbs Racing.

2023 will mark Graf’s fourth season in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Last week, Graf announced a 28-race schedule with Ford-backed team RSS Racing, which will keep him in a NASCAR Xfinity Series ride throughout the entire season.

“Running five races with JGR is a fantastic opportunity for myself and for my marketing partners,” added Graf Jr., “I think I can learn a lot from JGR and showcase the skills I’ve been growing in the series in the past three years. 2023 is shaping up to be a great year and I’m pumped to get started with the No. 19 group.”
