CELSIUS Backing Corey LaJoie, Spire Motorsports in Daytona 500 and More in 2023

Corey LaJoie 2023 sponsors Spire Motorsports 2023 sponsors NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500 Celsius sponsorship
Corey LaJoie and the No. 7 Spire Motorsports team will have primary sponsorship in multiple NASCAR Cup Series races in 2023, including the Daytona 500.

On Thursday, Spire Motorsports announced a multi-race primary sponsorship agreement with CELSIUS Essential Energy, which will make the brand the primary sponsor of Corey LaJoie and the No. 7 team for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season-opening race, the Daytona 500.

As the release hit the wire, LaJoie shared an incredible promo video of the new sponsorship, where he guzzles two cans of CELSIUS:

LaJoie, 31, sees the partnership as the perfect pairing, personally.

“I couldn’t be happier to race with CELSIUS,” said LaJoie in a team release. “The CELSIUS brand and product not only align with my energy needs on race day but also boosts my active everyday lifestyle. I look forward to being part of the CELSIUS family and vying for the opportunity to put Spire Motorsports No. 7 Chevy Camaro in victory lane at the Daytona 500.”

A native of Concord, North Carolina, LaJoie is becoming something of a drafting track ace in NASCAR Cup Series competition.

LaJoie has three top-10 finishes in 12-career NCS starts at Daytona International Speedway, including a sixth-place effort in the 2019 Summer race at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.

Overall, LaJoie’s average finish of 19.0 at Daytona is his best-career average finish at any track where he has competed in three or more races.

Additionally, LaJoie has also scored a top-10 finish at Talladega — another superspeedway race track — and in 2022, LaJoie was in the mix for the win in both races at the revamped superspeedway-style Atlanta Motor Speedway.

LaJoie scored his first-career NASCAR Cup Series top-five finish at Atlanta in the spring race last season, and then followed that great run up by leading 19 laps and battling Chase Elliott for the race win in the closing laps in the fall at the 1.54-mile speedway.

Unfortunately, LaJoie was wiped out in a last-lap crash in the fall event at AMS, but he continued to build his already booming confidence at draft-heavy races.

According to the release, CELSIUS is functional, Essential Energy, a better-for-you, premium alternative to traditional energy drinks. The brand has been growing its presence within the NASCAR landscape over the past couple of seasons, and they have continued to grow its footprint this offseason.

In addition to the multi-race sponsorship of LaJoie and the No. 7 NASCAR Cup Series team, CELSIUS has also added a two-race primary sponsorship of Logan Misuraca at Daytona and Talladega in the ARCA Menards Series for 2023.

Other teams that have had sponsorship deals or partnerships with CELSIUS in the past few seasons include Live Fast Motorsports in 2021 and 2022, Kaulig Racing, RFK Racing, and Front Row Motorsports.

The 2023 Daytona 500 is set to go green at 2:30 PM ET on Sunday, February 19th. Television coverage will be provided live by FOX and the race will be available on the radio live on Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
