After two seasons of competing at NASCAR’s highest level, Live Fast Motorsports will undergo some massive changes for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, announcing that the organization will switch to Chevrolet.

The single-car operation – owned by BJ McLeod, Matt Tifft, and Joe Falk – will join the manufacturer with support from ECR Engines, which will provide engine rebuild services for the organization’s engines for the balance of the 2023 season.

Over the last two seasons, Live Fast Motorsports has fielded the No. 78 Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series, which has primarily been driven by team co-owner BJ McLeod, with other drivers joining the team for partial schedules.

“Our team is excited to make this transition to Chevrolet,” said BJ McLeod, co-owner of Live Fast Motorsports. “Chevrolet Camaros have proven great success on track and Live Fast Motorsports is looking forward to becoming part of this advance.”

In the organization’s two-season tenure in the NASCAR Cup Series, Live Fast Motorsports has recorded a pair of top-10 results – both of which came in the Summer event at Daytona International Speedway – as well as four top-20 finishes.

“We’re looking forward to racing for Chevrolet, the winningest manufacturer in NASCAR,” said Matt Tifft, co-owner of Live Fast Motorsports. “We’ll also be getting engine support from ECR engines, and we know our program will benefit from their technologies and power under the hood.”

At the time of the announcement, Live Fast Motorsports has yet to announce any of its driver lineup, sponsorship lineup, or personnel. All of those details will be forthcoming.
