Noah Gragson and Landon Cassill had an utterly nasty crash in the second overtime finish attempt of Friday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona. Screengrab USA Network broadcast.

In an overtime finish attempt, the second one of the night, in Friday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Wawa 250 at Daytona International Speedway, Noah Gragson and Landon Cassill had a frightening crash on lap 109.

In what appeared to be a mad dash for the race win, Gragson receieved a shot from behind from AJ Allmendinger, who had been shoved there by others behind him. The shove, which wasn’t a flush hit, caught the rear of Gragson’s car sending him careening across the track.

As Gragson skidded into oncoming traffic, Landon Cassill had nowhere to go and absolutely obliterated both cars in an insane impact.

Here is video of the crash, which sent Gragson flying off the ground:

Fortunately, Gragson, Cassill and everyone involved in the accident were able to walk away.
