Kurt Busch, who has been suffering from concussion-like symptoms since an accident in NASCAR Cup Series qualifying last weekend at Pocono Raceway, has not been cleared to return to the track this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course.

Kurt Busch revealed his medical status on Wednesday:

According to a statement from 23XI Racing, Busch, who has a win this season, has been granted a medical waiver from NASCAR and remains eligible for the upcoming Playoffs.

Ty Gibbs, who filled in for Busch last weekend and finished 16th in his NASCAR Cup Series debut, will once again fill in for Busch in the No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota Camry.
